The Inspiration
The extraction and cutting of marble leaves behind, in the warehouses, a number of exceeding slabs. L’Eccesso project arises from this reflection.
It gives back dignity and value to the leftover stones and materials, transforming them into design objects. This creation of a new life cycle is animated by a profound feeling of Respect: for nature and its beauty, for the primordial meaning of stone and marble, for the countless possibilities of design, for the human ability in transforming and enhancing the material.

Stone is an eternal material, born from the Earth and intended to last. Simeg’s L’Eccesso enhances this longevity, transforming forgotten fragments into impactful and meaningful works of design. In this process, marble joins with metal, used both as a structural element and as a stylistic trait. In Simeg’s factories, the creative and the production process are seamless, a virtuous circle in which the human hand and mastery contribute to enhancing what already exists, transforming it into something different and extraordinary. The result is a harmonious dialogue between material and shape, able to go beyond time.

L’Appartamento by Artemest
On the occasion of Milano Design Week 2025, Simeg takes part of one of the most iconic exhibitions of Fuori Salone, L’Appartamento by Artemest, the destination that showcases Italy’s refined artisanal heritage to the world and celebrates the timeless allure of Italian craftsmanship and design through the lens of globally renowned design talents. Inside Palazzo Donizetti, a 19th-century architectural masterpiece, Simeg’s coffee tables Hani and Rasine, part of L’Eccesso Table/Furniture Collection by Paolo Ciacci, have been picked by New York-based studio Meyer Davis to be part of The Grand Salon, a living room that embodies beauty and mystery, a space suspended between ancient myth and contemporary design.
RASINE: coffee table crafted from a waste slab of Pinta Verde marble, featuring a metal structure with an acid bronze finish. Stone and metal are combined in an organic yet solid design with a contemporary and refined soul.
HANI: side table characterized by its simple and elegant lines, made up of a round top of Opera Fantastico marble and a metal structure in bronze glossy finish as its central leg.
